Background

Body By Butter is a women-led healthy meal delivery service based in Lahore, Pakistan. They offer a wide range of calorie-counted meals across categories including Keto, Low Carb, Gluten Free, Salads, Desserts, Greek Yogurt, Ice Cream, Soups, and subscription meal plans. When they came to Abdul in 2022, they had no digital storefront at all.

The Problem

Every order was processed manually — customers placed orders via WhatsApp and phone calls, and every invoice was created by hand in Zoho Books. There was no self-serve way for customers to browse the menu, subscribe to a weekly or monthly meal plan, or check out online. The menu itself could only be updated by a developer. At scale, this was unsustainable.

What Was Built

Custom Shopify store

A complete Shopify store was built from scratch using the Herbyo theme, fully tailored to the Body By Butter brand identity — a green and orange palette around the “Eat Right. Feel Light” identity. The store covers the full product catalogue including individual meals, subscription meal plans, Greek Yogurt, Desserts, Ice Cream, Soups, Breads and Basics, Organic Nut Butters, Natural Sweeteners, Drinks, Gift Baskets, and a corporate meals page.

Zoho Books automation

Zoho Books was integrated so that every new Shopify order automatically triggers the creation of a corresponding invoice in Zoho Books — eliminating all manual invoicing and giving the client real-time financial records synced to their accounting system. Every order. Zero manual steps.

Google Sheets menu management

A Google Sheets integration was built to give the client full control over their menu without developer involvement. The client can update meal plan contents, food items, nutritional macros (Net Carbs, Protein, Fat, Calories), and pricing directly from a spreadsheet — and changes reflect on the store automatically.

Custom meal plan selector

Customers can personalise their subscription packages by choosing their preferred meals from the available menu — making the subscription flexible and tailored to individual dietary goals (Keto, Low Carb, Gluten Free, etc.).
