Code-first, business-second — until I realized it should be the other way around.
I got into development the way most people do — just trying to build something. During my MCS at Virtual University of Pakistan (2017), I fell deep into web development: PHP, JavaScript, CSS, then the whole e-commerce rabbit hole.
My first professional role was at Ibulb.work in 2019, where I worked as an Assistant Software Engineer handling e-commerce integrations. That's where Shopify clicked for me — the platform made sense, the ecosystem was rich, and the merchants I worked with had real, tangible goals. I stopped thinking about code and started thinking about conversion rates.
In 2021 I joined QWERTY Experts. Within the year I was leading a Shopify development team — building custom themes, private apps, and B2B wholesale portals for brands doing serious revenue across North America, Europe, and the Gulf. I still lead that team today.
In parallel, I've built a freelance practice on Fiverr and Upwork: 50+ stores, 15+ apps, 5★ across 30+ reviews. Every project teaches me something the last one didn't.
The short version: I've spent 7+ years in the Shopify trenches. I know what breaks under load, what kills conversions, and what clients actually need vs. what they ask for.
